Vip Beach Masters 2014 Spectacular Finals
This year’s Vip Beach Masters – Serbian Beach Volleyball Championship – organized for the seventh year in a row by Vip mobile and Serbian Volleyball Federation, ended with a series of final matches at the Belgrade Tournament at Ada Ciganlija. After the exciting tournaments held in twelve cities across Serbia in the past three months, the fabulous play has won Aleksandra Frajtović/Nina Škarić and Miljan Kiković/Stefan Basta not only the champion title but also valuable cash prizes from the total 32,000 Euro prize fund provided by Vip mobile.
Miljan Kiković/Stefan Basta won the men’s category by taking down Marko Galešev/Siniša Antonić, while the third place went to Damjan Pušonjić/Srđan Medan, who defeated Aleksandar Gavrilov/Miloš Milić duo with 2:1 (20:22, 21:16, 15:13) result in the bronze medal match. In the women’s category at Ada Ciganlija, Aleksandra Frajtović/Nina Škarić duo was better than Isidora Egić/Milena Matić whom they took down with Isidora Egić/Milena Matić result, while the third place on the winners’ podium was taken by Gordana Mrđan and Teodora Trifunović.
Owing to the organizers’ great efforts, but also the local municipality support, this season, in addition to Belgrade audience, the supporters in Novi Pazar, Užice, Kruševac, Novi Sad, Kraljevo, Čajetina, Veliko Gradište, Bač, Sombor, Zrenjanin and Kanjiža had the opportunity to enjoy spectacular matches. This beach volley season, in addition to the national championship, the CEV European Beach Volleyball Championship – 2014 Novi Sad Masters – was organized under the patronage of the European Volleyball Confederation. Furthermore, Belgrade is going to host the biggest regional talents who are going to compete at the Balkans Beach Volleyball Championship in September.
This year as well could not pass without the fun for the youngsters across Serbia. Vip Beach Masters Volleyball School, run for the fourth time in a row by our famous volleyball player and Olympic ace Vanja Grbić, enabled the youngsters to try their hand in this exciting sport. This beach volley season, in all 12 cities hosting the tournament, more than 4000 boys and girls, aged under 14, went through this school where they learned the beach volleyball basics under the watchful eye of Vanja.
The novelty brought by this year’s Vip Beach Masters season is a business league organized by Vip for its business partners. Sixteen teams, coming from the following companies XXX, competed for valuable prizes.
For the first time, the tournaments within the National Beach Volleyball Championship had their official mobile phone for the season, LG G2 Mini. Thanks to the specially designed “Vip Beach Masters” Android application the users were able to learn the basic moves of this dynamic sport and to follow all the competition news.
This significant sports event was supported by LG, Coca-Cola Hellenic, DaCapo, as well as by the cities where the tournaments were held, and Wiener Stadtische insured the entire tournament.
