CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship starts at Strand beach
The battle among European volleyball players at the CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship – Novi Sad Masters, started today, being one of the most prestigious tournaments held under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation, which will last until Saturday, July 5. The entrance is free for all visitors, who may expect amazing matches, great entertainment, as well as numerous awards.

Sixth year in a row, the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and Vip mobile bring the most prominent names in the world of European volleyball to Serbia. This year as much as 80 men's teams from 28 countries will be competing, including six teams from Serbia. Matches for entering the qualification through state quota opened Novi Sad Masters 2014 today, and the competition continues on Wednesday with qualifying duels in which 32 teams will compete. The top 8 teams from the qualifying round will compete in the main part of the tournament, where 16 teams that secured their participations by obtaining enough points in the ranking list of the European Volleyball Confederation await them. Three local teams are participating in the main draw: Sinisa Antonic/Marko Galesev, Stefan Basta/Kikovic Miljan and Sasa Surla/Rasko Jovanovic. The matches of the main draw will be played on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4, where 24 teams will compete for placements and points at the CEV and FIVB rankings, as well as for the total prize fund of EUR 25,000. Semi-final matches (at noon and 1 PM), and matches for third (3 PM) and first place (4 PM) are scheduled for Saturday, July 5.

The “Vip Beach Masters volleyball school” ran by our famous volleyball player Vanja Grbic is organized once again for the youngest visitors of the tournament, under the age of 14. The school through which 2,450 children passed this year will be organized from Tuesday to Friday (July 2-4) at 10 AM and 5 PM, and on Saturday (July 5) at 2 PM. All interested kids can learn the techniques of this sport free of charge by simply coming to the court at Strand beach, without any additional applications.

This year's beach volleyball season has an official phone for the first time, LG G2 Mini, with a specially designed Android application "Vip Beach Masters", allowing users to learn the basic moves of beach volleyball, as well as to follow all information regarding the competition.
