Novi Sad is the host of the best European beach volleyball
Štrand beach once again hosts the tournament European Championship in Beach Volleyball, Novi Sad Masters 2014'' from 1st to 5th of July. The best men's teams of the old continent will compete for the placement and points on the CEV and FIVB rankings, as well as for the prize fund of EUR 25,000. This is the sixth year in a row that Vip and the Volleyball Federation of Serbia organize this prestigious tournament under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV).
For this year's tournament 80 teams from 28 European countries have registered, such as Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Spain, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine and Serbia. Honor of the host, this year is defended by six teams, with Siniša Antonic/Marko Galešev, Stefan Basta/Miljan Kiković, Srdjan Medan/Damjan Pušonjić, Nenad Simeunović/Nemanja Komar, Saša Surla/Raško Jovanović and Nenad Tatić/Borislav Petrović.
For the youngest visitors of the tournament under the age of 14, Vip Beach Masters volleyball school is organized once agian, and it will be led by our famous volleyball player Vanja Grbić. This school, which more than 3000 children passed through during the last season, will be organized from Wednesday to Friday (July 2 to 4) at 10 and 17 pm, and on Saturday (July 5) at 14 pm. All kids, who are interested can come to the court on the Štrand where they will be able to learn all basic technics of this sport for free.
Entry to all tournaments is also free, and organizers guarantee top competitions, great atmosphere in the stands, attractive music program and prizes for spectators.
Tournaments in beach volleyball, for the first time, have official mobile phone of the season, LG G2 Mini with a specially designed Android application ,,Vip Beach Masters’’ offering users to learn the basic moves of this dynamic sport and to follow all the news from the event.
