Great start of Vip Beach Masters in Kragujevac

The first tournament of this year’s Vip Beach Masters organized by Vip mobile and the Volleyball Federation of Serbia for the third time in a row, started at the beach volleyball court in front of the Kragujevac City hall today. Tournament lasts the whole day and will be continued on Saturday, June 19 th and Sunday, June 20 th when the semi-final and final matches of male and female competition will be played. Kragujevac tournament raised great interest of participants with 46 male and 14 female teams that applied for qualifications. The best 16 male and 8 female teams will compete for the prize fund of EUR 11.500.
 
The entrance for all matches is free and people of Kragujevac will have the opportunity to enjoy  great atmosphere and exciting games of Vip Beach Masters for the first time. The audience showed great interest on the very first day and the stadium was crowded with beach volleyball fans who gave support to the players on the court. This weekend, Kragujevac will be the main spot of the top beach volleyball and great entertainment provided by cheerleaders, DJ and the well known tandem of MTV Adria TV presenter, Galeb Nikacevic and famous Brazilian animator Marcelo.

Tournament ends on Sunday at 6 pm, with a delivery of awards to the most successful female and male volleyball players. Three best teams will win gold, silver and bronze medals and cups, the winning male team will get EUR 1.800 while female team will win EUR 1.300.

Vip Beach Masters 2010 – the Serbian championship in beach volleyball continues with the tournament in Nis (August 6-8), while the final tournament of the National Championship will be held in Novi Sad (August 27-29). In organization of Vip mobile and the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, Novi Sad will once again host the prestigious CEV Challenger tournament from July 21st to 25th, gathering the best European teams in men’s beach volleyball at the Strand beach. Total prize fund is EUR 46.500 – for three tournaments of National Championship prize fund is EUR 11.500 per tournament and for CEV Challenger it amounts to EUR 12.000.

This significant sport event is supported by ZTE, Oriflame, Fiat, Red Bull, Aqua Viva, DaCapo, Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, Kragujevac Municipality, while the company Wiener Städtische has secured the entire tournament. Beside the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, organization was also supported by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). Media partners are RTS, Gloria magazine Gloria and Radio Bravo.
